Books & Bricks publication has arrived
Books & Bricks, the first publication authored by students in Grady’s Design emphasis, is now available. Initiated as a class project in 2005, the 66-page four-color commemorative edition takes the reader on a section-by-section exploration of the new and old aspects of the award-winning renovation of Grady High School. Anyone who loves Grady – whether incoming freshmen or long-time alumni – will appreciate and enjoy the spirit reflected in the images and words of some of its most recent graduates.
Copies are $10 and can be purchased through the school by contacting Trisha Kendall directly at pkendall@atlanta.k12.ga.us or by coming by E-108 during regular school hours.

FIBERS AND FASHION CLASSES NEED DRESS FORMS
The number one (expensive) item needed in all my classes: dress forms! Of course, used ones are fine.
The Fibers and Fashion classes also need seam rippers, tape measures, pins and notions of all kinds. Keep our designers in mind when you do your work room clean out.
Mr. Martinez, room E107
PHOTOGRAPHY STUDENTS NEED CAMERAS
Grady’s Photography Department has become a real success. Usually each student is able to “check out” a camera to use during the semester, but as a consequence of increased class enrollment, Ms. Kim Wadsworth, Grady’s photography teacher doesn’t have enough cameras for all her students.
If anyone has old manual (preferably working, but will also accept non-working cameras) that they no longer use and would like to donate, the photo department will gladly take them. (Sometimes non-working cameras can be repaired with minimal cost.)
