Honors Classes
At Grady, the curriculum includes honors classes as well as regular-level classes for the following core courses: Ninth Grade Literature and Composition, Tenth Grade Literature and Composition, American Literature, English Literature, Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Advanced Algebra and Trigonometry, Physical Science, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, World History, U.S. History, and Economics.
On a student schedule, honors sections are identified with an H (honors) after the course name. On a student transcript, honors sections are identified with the number two (2) as the first numerical digit to the right of the decimal in the course number. For example, Tenth Grade Literature and Composition 23.2620000 is an honors section. An explanation of this numbering system is included with the final transcript sent to colleges for seniors.
